The Research Development Unit (RDU) works with all schools and staff to creatively develop and secure new funding opportunities, increase competitiveness for sponsored research, engage with sponsors ,support and enable research leaders, and help to build grantsmanship capabilities campus-wide.

RESPONSIBILITIES OF RESEARCH DEVELOPMENT UNIT (RDU):

  • Tracking and disseminating funding opportunity announcements to faculty and students
  • Preparing and delivering faculty and student research development courses
  • Developing budgets
  • Writing grant proposals
  • Supporting grant applications and tracking
  • Providing institutional support
  • Disseminating research findings
  • Developing the website and electronic media
  • Developing information routing systems
  • Research infrastructure development
